Four stars represent the ideology of Bangladesh Awami League (1) Bengali Nationalism (2) Democracy (3) Secularism (4) Socialism. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is a founding father of Bangladesh and founder of a biggest political party called Bangladesh Awami League.

15 august 1975, the darkest night of Bengali Nation

Bangabondhu, Bangladesh and our independence have very closed relation. Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had one of the great nationalizes leader in the world. Bangabondhu) was the pioneer and architect of independent Bangladesh and its sovereignty. His political prudence, indomitable courage, eloquence and powerful leadership motivated the countrymen to join in the war of liberation.

 

Bangabondhu proclaimed independence on March 26 in 1971 and the people dived into nine months long bloody battle and achieved the long desired sweetest freedom, He also gave restless effort to represent an esteemed Bangalee nation on the world stage. His golden-etched name will remain in the history of Bangalees and Bangladesh forever. But our nation has been waiting from 34 years for justice his brutal murders.  August 15 in 1975 is a black-chapter in the history of Bangalee nation. Bangabondhu and his family members were ruthlessly murdered by anti liberation force and with the help of army member in this day. And the nation incurred an irretrievable loss. The nation is deeply shocked and full with grief for this shameful incident. Now, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabondhu is the main target by killer’s group especially Islamic militant group.

আজ এই মহান পরিষদে আপনাদের সামনে দুটো কথা বলার সুযোগ পেয়ে নিজকে ভাগ্যবান মনে করছি। মানবজাতির এই মহান পার্লামেন্টে বাংলাদেশের সাড়ে সাত কোটি মানুষ প্রতিনিধিত্ব লাভ করায় আপনাদের মধ্যে যে সন্তোষের ভাব লক্ষ্য করেছি-আমিও তার অংশীদার। বাঙ্গালি জাতির জন্য এটা ঐতিহাসিক মুহুূর্ত। কারণ তার আত্ননিয়ন্ত্রণের অধিকার অর্জনের সংগ্রাম আজ বিরাট সাফল্যে চিহ্নিত।

On 3rd November 1975, following four national leaders of Bangladesh were brutally killed inside Dhaka Central Jail. General Ziaur Rahman is fully responsible for this killing.

M. Mansur Ali (16 JAN 1919 – 3 NOV 1975)

A senior leader of the Awami League. He also served as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh in the period 25 January 1975 to 15 August 1975.

Syed Nazrul Islam ( 1 FEB 1925 - 3 NOV 1975)

During the Bangladesh Liberation War, he was declared as the Vice President of Bangladesh by the Provisional Government. He served as the Acting President in the absence of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

A.H.M. Kamaruzzaman (26 JUN 1926 – 3 NOV 1975)

He served as the minister of relief and rehabilitation in the provisional government of Bangladesh formed at Mujibnagar. After the creation of Bangladesh, he won election to the national parliament from Rajshahi in 1973 and became Minister of Home Affairs.

Tajuddin Ahmad (23 JUL 1925 – 3 NOV 1975)

He served as the first Prime Minister of Bangladesh and lead the wartime Provisional Government during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. He is regarded as one of the most influential and instrumental figures in the birth of Bangladesh, due to his leadership of the provisional government in 1971.
